Special online film ALAMAR by Mexican director Pedro González Rubio
On the occasion of the Day of Mexican Cinema The Embassy of Mexico in Australia, Fiji, Papua New Guinea, Solomon Islands and Vanuatu
with the kind support of the Mexican Institute of Cinema (IMCINE), invites you to the special online screening of the long fiction film with, English subtitles,
ALAMAR (To the Sea), by Mexican director Pedro González Rubio. (2009, 73mins).
ALAMAR is a film about a boy visiting his father on the Banco Chinchorro (coral reef barrier that is part of the Mexican reef reserve, the second largest in
the world), which is located in the state of Quintana Roo, Mexico. ALAMAR won best picture and the audience award at the seventh Morelia International Film Festival.
- The film will be available for streaming online upon registration on: Saturday, August 14th, 2021, from 9:00 AM to 22:00 hrs, AEST
