More than 60 koalas rescued between logs cut down on a eucalyptus plantation in Victoria

Dozens of koalas found dead and wounded on a plantation in the state of Victoria have sparked a wave of outrage and a severe reaction from the government. The state's premier, Daniel Andrews, warned landowners where dozens of koalas are known to have died, that it is not up to them to decide whether they have done "something wrong" or not.
