Riordan Roett

Riordan Roett is an American political scientist specializing in Latin America. He received his Ph.D. from Columbia University in political science and was a post-doctoral fellow at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. Roett is director of the Latin American Studies Program at Johns Hopkins University in Washington, DC. He is the author of books such as "The New Brazil", "Brazil under Cardoso" and "Brazil - Politics In A Patrimonial Society", and received the Rio Branco order of the Brazilian government.
